Boulder Opal oval silver necklace

Inspired from a recent trip to Australia.  Beautiful purple and orange hues in this Australian Boulder Opal offset by a carefully crafted  silver domed pendant. The ancient Greeks believed opals gave their owners the gift of prophecy.  Europeans have long considered the gem a symbol of hope, purity and truth. Opal is considered an October birthstone.  Pendant hallmarked by Edinburgh Assay Office. The Pendant comes on a solid wire necklet, which is 19cm from catch to bottom of the pendent.  The pendant itself measures 4cm depth, 3.8cm wide.
